1985年9月出生，湖北省枣阳市人，2008年获长江大学学士学位，2013年获中国农业科学院研究生院博士学位。2013年至今在中国农业科学院蔬菜花卉研究所工作，现为中国农业科学院蔬菜花卉研究所副研究员。
主要从事菠菜、菜豆等蔬菜遗传育种研究，主持国家自然科学基金、国家科技支撑课题等项目5项，发表研究论文二十多篇，其中PLANT J、THEOR APPL GENET等SCI 论文十余篇，获国家发明专利3项，中国农业科学院科技成果奖1项，神农中华农业科技奖1项，选育菠菜、菜豆等蔬菜新品种三十多个，获植物新品种保护4项，新品种推广面积三十多万亩。
1、十二五国家科技支撑（2014BAD01B0808）：主要蔬菜商业化良种生产和推广关键技术集成与示范，90万元，主持。
2、国家自然科学基金（31401872）：菠菜抗霜霉病基因精细定位，24万元，主持。
3、中国农业科学院蔬菜花卉研究所基本科研业务费专项（1610102016013）：菠菜基因组重测序及重要农艺性状基因挖掘，20万元，主持。
4、中国农业科学院蔬菜花卉研究所基本科研业务费专项（1610102018004）：菠菜性别决定基因Y克隆及性别机制研究，20万元，主持。
5、中国农业科学院基本科研业务费专项（Y2019XK12）： “结合营养组分检测技术和全基因组关联分析技术解析菠菜重要营养成分遗传结构”，50万元，主持。
